Anando Arnold was born in Berlin, studied Architecture in Hannover, which included studies in visual art. At the same time he participated as a guest at the Hannover High School of Art. He lived in Germany, India and Spain, and had lots of exhibitions in these countries. Since 2004 he is part of the "art-club of Ibiza", and has regularly exhibitions in Ibiza.  Since 2005 he lives as a free artist, he has a studio in Ibiza and since 2007 another one close to Berlin.

Anando Arnolds paintings are mostly realistic, he is trying to go beyond the simple, banal representation of the existing, and to show the world as what it really is: a magic, enchanted, and sometimes  fairy-tale-like place. His motives are taken from the world where he lives, he also likes to paint nudes, and some of his motives are purely fantasy.
 
Since some time also abstract paintings are turning up in his creative work.
Anando Arnold wurde 1953 in Berlin geboren. Er studierte Architektur in Hannover, wo er die entscheidende künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt, gleichzeitig nahm er an Übungen der Kunsthochschule Hannover teil. Er lebte abwechselnd in Deutschland, Indien und Spanien, arbeitete dort als Maler, und hatte diverse Ausstellungen. Seit 2004 gehört er zum „Art Club of Ibiza“,  und stellt regelmäßig auf Ibiza aus. Seit 2005 lebt er als freier Künstler, er hat ein Atelier auf Ibiza und seit 2007 auch eines in Bad Belzig einem Örtchen in der Nähe von Berlin. 

Anando Arnolds Bilder sind  meist gegenständlich, sein Interesse geht dahin, über die bloße, banale Darstellung hinauszugehen, und die  Welt  als das zu zeigen, was sie ist: als magischen, zauberischen, verwunschenen oder manchmal auch märchenhaften Ort. Die Motive dazu stammen aus seiner Lebensumwelt, gern malt er auch Akte, und einige Motive sind pure Fantasie.

 
Neuerdings entstehen jedoch auch abstrakte Gemälde.
